Overview
In Core Practice, you are still able to use a USB intraoral camera, even if it has not been integrated through the TWAIN interface via the Core Practice Media Bridge. This means that while integration via the Media Bridge is the preferred method for seamless connectivity, the camera can still function independently through its USB connection, allowing you to capture and upload images without requiring full integration. Here are the steps on how to access the intraoral camera via Import Media option.
Steps
1. The first thing you need to do is to check if the intraoral camera is already connected and detected by the PC (Check the device manager page of the PC and then look for imaging devices). Take note that most intraoral cameras have switches, make sure it is turned ON.
2. Go to the patient's profile and then click on Media on the bottom part of the navigation panel on the left.
3. Click on Import Media below the patient's name.
4. Click on Take Photo. If there's a pop-up asking if you want to use the camera on the site, click on Allow.
5. Once you allow it, the intraoral camera will be displayed, and you can start taking images by clicking the Capture button. You can also select the resolution by clicking the dropdown menu.
6. Once you have finished capturing the images, click Import All.
