Overview
This error typically occurs when attempting to publish to Xero and the system cannot find of validate the business name. It often indicates that the business has not been set up correctly in Xero. This may happen if the business name provided is incorrect, or if the business setup process was not completed properly.
Symptom
If you see this error message while trying to publish the provider's statement, it means that the Business name of the Provider name does not match the information that is recorded in their XERO account.
Root Cause
- The business name provided during the setup process does not match what is registered in Xero.
- The business setup process was not fully completed.
- There may be a typo or formatting issue with the business name or other setup details.
Resolution
1. Go to Xero System:
Log in to your Xero account.
2. Navigate to Contacts:
Click on Contacts in the main menu, then select All Contacts.
3. Locate the Affected Business:
Search for the business name that is causing the validation error.
4. Edit Contact:
Once you find the correct business name, click on Edit next to the business name.
5. Verify Contact Name:
Check the Contact Name and compare it to the business name in Core Practice.
6. Ensure the contact name exactly matches the business name in Core Practice. Any discrepancies, including typos, additional spaces, or formatting differences, will result in the validation error.
