Overview
If a provider is no longer seeing patients or you no longer need their calendar to appear in the appointment book, you can disable it to remove it from the view.
This article will guide you through the steps to properly disable a calendar so it is no longer visible.
Before You Begin
To ensure the calendar is fully removed from the appointment book, you must:
- Set an end date for the calendar template, and
- Disable the calendar
Both steps are required to prevent the calendar from appearing.
Step 1: Set an End Date for the Calendar
- In the appointment book, click More
- Select Calendar Setup
- Locate the provider’s calendar
- Click the three dots beside the provider’s name
- Select Edit Template
- Click the three dots again, then click edit period
- Select the correct Start Date, then set an End Date for the calendar period
- Click Save Changes
Step 2: Disable the Calendar
- Go back to Calendar Setup
- Click the three dots beside the same provider
- Select Disable Calendar
What Happens Next?
- The calendar will no longer appear in the appointment book
- Users will not be able to book new appointments under this calendar
- Historical appointments will remain in the system for reference
Important Notes
- If you skip setting an end date, the calendar may still appear in some views
- Disabling the calendar does not delete any existing appointment data
