Overview
Calendar presets allow you to create pre-blocked, colour-coded time slots in your appointment book. These act as visual guides to help your team schedule the right types of appointments at the right times.
For example, you can highlight specific hours in the morning and late afternoon to indicate when high production treatment should be booked.
When to Use Calendar Presets
You may find presets useful if you want to:
- Highlight your high and low production hours
- Guide front desk staff on scheduling priorities
- Create consistent booking patterns across providers
- Improve visibility in your appointment book
How to Add Calendar Presets
Follow the steps below to create and customise preset time blocks:
- Go to the Appointment Book, then click More
- Select Calendar Setup
- Locate the provider you want to apply the preset to
- Click the three dots beside the provider’s name
- Select Edit Template
- On the right side, select a Preset and drag it into your desired time slot
Once you place the preset, a settings window will automatically appear.
Customising Your Preset
In the preset settings, you can configure the following:
- Title
- Colour
- Time range
After entering your desired settings, click Save Changes.
Viewing and Editing your Preset
After saving, click on the preset block you created in the calendar to view or update its details.
From here you can:
- Review the preset title, time, and colour
- Adjust the time duration if needed
- Control whether the time slot is available for online booking
- Make further updates or delete the preset
Important Notes
- Preset positioning: Even if you set a specific time in the preset settings, you will still need to manually drag the preset block to correct the position of the calendar.
- Recurring behaviour: Presets are applied consistently across the calendar. For example, if you add a preset on a Monday, it will appear on all Mondays moving forward.
- Single-date limitation: Presets cannot be applied to a one-off date or a specific month only.
Best Practice
After creating or updating a preset:
- Refresh your browser
- Return to the Appointment Book
- Confirm that the preset appears correctly
This helps ensure your changes have been applied successfully.
