Introduction

Welcome to the Core Practice "Basics" series. In order to become familiar with the system, we have created this series so that you can read about the basic concepts and functions of Core Practice. We have included screenshots of what you are likely to see when following the procedures as they are in the articles. They have been put into order, starting from:

1. Appointment basics
2. Treatment basics
3. Invoice basics
4. Treatment note basics

They have been put into this order to follow the way in which you would process a patient in Core Practice. With each article, you will go through the order of: navigating the appointment books and finding a patient, navigating through "Treatments" and entering items, applying payments via various methods and entering treatment notes (if necessary).

It is recommended that all staff members read this "Basics" series. It is important for everyone to have a general understanding of Core Practice and the way it is designed, to make everyone's jobs more efficient and easier on a day-to-day basis. This also improves the way the rest of your staff use the system, since they can learn from each other.
