You may sometimes experience an issue when our Core Practice Client Bridge is running, but you cannot connect your HICAPS for processing claims or payment through Core Practice.
Firstly, please make sure your HICAPS machine has been turned on and connected properly with the computer through keyspan adaptor. If you can manually process claim and payment through HICAPS and you are getting message saying "waiting for terminal" when you click HICAPS or EFTOPS in Core Practice, please follow the instructions below to restart our Core Practice Client Bridge service:
- Use "Esc" key on your keyboard to cancel the window "waiting for terminal" in Core Practice first, no need to refresh your browser page,
- Go to/search for "services" app on your computer and open the app, then find a service called "core practice client bridge" and restart the service by clicking on "restart", the restart process will take a few seconds to be finalized,
- Then go back to your claim/payment web page, try your HICAPS connection in Core Practice again, it should connect your HICAPS for processing claim/payment this time.
It is common that you need to restart your client bridge service 1-2 times a day depending on the PC condition, the internet status and also how busy the day gets.
If following the instructions above couldn't resolve your issue still, restarting your computer may help. If you still have the same issue after a restart, please use our "Help" button located at the left-bottom corner of your Core Practice page to have a chat with our customer support team or submit a support request to our support team for further assistance.
