Overview
Sending of the automated SMS appointment reminder is one of many advantageous features in Core Practice. In this way, you don't have to manually send resulting to be more efficient, well-ordered and definitely time-saving. Alternatively, you will still have the comfort to send the SMS appointment reminder manually when necessary.
What's more, there are two kinds of SMS packages, one is the Basic or Standard package which the SMS reminders can be sent only once. The SMS appointment reminder with the Basic package or Standard package normally sent out 2 days prior to the appointment. Whereas, the Communicator package has more advanced features such as setting a time for the reminder to be send out, able to create multiple SMS template schedules according to your preference and many others. To know more about your current SMS package or would like to upgrade your subscription, please reach out to our Sales team or contact Support for further assistance.
Here are the following topics we will go through today:
- How to set up the template for the Schedules
- How to enable the scheduler for different providers
- How to manage your services
Steps
How to setup the template for the Schedules
Please be reminded that this is only applicable to those who has Communicator package.
- From the cog, click on Settings.
- Head over to Schedules under Communications. (If you don't see any option for Schedules then it means it's either hasn't been turned on yet or you don't have access. Please contact our support team to turn on the Schedules and contact your admin to give you access.)
- Select the appointment reminder that you wish to setup.
- Enter all necessary details for the Schedule Details. Once done, click Save Changes.
Avoid weekend is an option for you to select if you wanted to send the reminders out on a weekend or not. Let's say for example, the patient has an appointment on Monday and the automatic SMS reminder is set to 2 days. If this notification is set to "Yes", the patient will receive the reminder on Friday.
How to enable the scheduler for different providers
Please be reminded that this is only applicable to those who has Communicator package.
- Go to Calendar Setup.
- Click the three dots beside the provider you want to set up with.
- Select the appointment reminders to your liking and Save Changes.
