How to directly Email / SMS patients

Overview

In Core Practice, communicating with your patients becomes more convenient. You can easily send personal message and emails to your patients.

Sending SMS Chat/SMS

SMS Chat can be used if you would like to send a quick message to the patient. In this feature, you won't be able to edit or view the patient's phone number.

There are two ways on how to send SMS Chat. You can send it from the appointment book or under the patient's profile.

Through the appointment book

Here are the instructions on how to send SMS Chat from the appointment book:

1. On the appointment book, click the patient's appointment, click "More" and select "SMS Chat"

2. Type your message on the Text Box. You may also select a Template by clicking Apply Template on the lower right portion. Click Send to send the message. 

The other way of sending SMS Chat is from the patient's profile.

Through the patient profile

1. Go to the Patient's profile and click the Patient's Name.

2. Choose SMS Chat.

3. You can compose a message from scratch or choose a SMS template. Once you are done, hit the Send Now button to send the message.  

Send SMS

Send SMS is slightly different from SMS Chat. In this feature, you can have a larger view of the text box and have the option to edit/view the patient's phone number. 

Steps

1. On the Patient's profile, click the Patient's Name and select Send SMS.

2. You can compose your message or select a SMS template. Hit the Send Now button to send the message.

Charges will apply per messages that are being sent to patients. 

Sending Email

If you would like to send longer messages with attachments, you can send emails to your patients.

Here are the instructions on how to send emails:

1. On the Patient's profile, click the Patient's Name and select Send Email.

2. You can compose a message from scratch or choose an email template. Once you are done, hit the Send Now button to send the message.
