Overview
In a family's account, parent's should always be the organiser. A parents should be responsible for their children's clinical and financial responsibility, moreover, for children's below legal age. In addition, the parents is the main contact for their children's pending treatments, pending invoices, upcoming appointments, etc. that's why having the parent's details is must.
However, in some cases, a parent doesn't have any appointment from the clinic hence a child cannot be an organiser to a family's account. Here's what you need to do to link a child/children to a family's account if the parents doesn't have any appointment from your clinic.
Steps
1. From the Appointment Book, select Patient and create New Patient Profile. Fill out the information needed (should be the parent's details) and this profile will serve as the parent's "dummy" account simply to achieve a family role as an organiser.
Note: you do not have to book an appointment, this is not compulsory after creating a new patient profile.
2. Once the parent's "dummy" account has been created, simply search for the parent's created profile and then join/link the children's profile or any family member and select the family role accordingly.
There, you have successfully created a family's account.
