A sales item in the clinic pertains to the items that patients can purchase for personal consumption/usage. (e.g. toothbrush, dental floss, teeth whiteners, etc.)
Here are the things that you need to do to create a Sales Item.
Create an Item Code
A sales item needs to be recorded in Core Practice as an item code. You can choose whichever name and code you wanted to assign to it.

* GST can also be added on the sales item.
Create a Business and Provider Profile
After creating the sales item, you can now setup up a Business and Provider using the clinic's name. The ABN of the Business should be under the clinic as well.
By creating a separate Business and Provider, the sold items will not be recorded under the dentist commission and it can easily be tracked for reporting purposes.
1. Click the cog button and go to Settings.
2. Select Businesses.
3. Hit on Create Business.
4. Add the required fields such as Business name, Status, Commission Method, and Commission. Please don't forget to add the ABN as well.
5. Hit on Save Changes.
