Improvement: Adding a prompt to select the recommended crown when charting for a future RCT
Submitted by the OCM team:
"I would like to see a crown automatically included when I select an "RCT" option in the "Treatment" tab when I am charting. There are rare instances where I would not suggest a crown with a root canal therapy, so having a crown automatically included when I chart for a root canal treatment would be great.
Alternatively, maybe we could have a dialog box to pop up after having selected the "RCT" option in the "Treatment" tab which asks "Would you like to add a crown?" and have a checkbox or drop-down menu with the available crown options and then a "No, thanks" button in the cases where a crown is not necessary."

Hi all,
I like the idea of expanding on our Charting feature, and having this improvement would certainly make it easier and quicker to chart your patient's treatments! If we add a crown to the current RCT operation, it would be the same crown every time. For example, say we add a PFM crown (615) to a RCT operation but you want to plan for a zirconia crown, you will see a 615 when charting the RCT treatment, you'll have to delete that treatment code and then add the correct crown. This will obviously increase your work and isn't too efficient.
I prefer the idea of having a dialog box appear after confirming the RCT treatments, as it will be easier to select from the numerous crown options, and will only add about 2 extra clicks to the charting process. I have escalated this suggestion to our development team. Keep an eye out on our Community forum for any updates. Thanks!
