Feature request: Securely sharing my patient records with people who are not Core Practice users

We would like a way to share files securely with a patient. This will allow sharing patient files, letters, post-op paperwork and treatment plans. One way sharing is what's most critical at this stage. This feature should be secure and password protected in order to ensure that patient information is kept completely safe. It would also be good if it complied with HIPAA regulations.

  Another suggestion from the team:

  "Having an option to CC other contacts (stored in your Contact Management) into the email invitation for this secure inbox would be a great addition to this feature."

  Another suggestion from the team:

  "The method to get into this secure inbox should be a one-off password. Some specialists might find it too difficult/time-consuming to create an account. Example is: here's the link > enter the password automatically generated for you in the email invitation > view/take the images/attachments they need".

  I like this idea, but I'm wondering if having your recipient create an account would assist with maximising security. If they have an account, they would have this stored in our database and we could track last log in and other activity. More discussions are definitely needed. We'll keep everyone posted!
