Add Sibling and In Law into the family role option

Hi team,

A request from Dr Sue Kallangur Dental Hub.

Sometimes, the parents are not the patients in the practice, and we need to add Sibling to a family. Therefore, we need Sibling as an option, and In Law as well.

  Hi Dr. Sue,

  Thank you for sending your request. For instances wherein the children are the patients in the clinic, we usually recommend creating an account for the parent so that all communications are directed to their contact details. Afterwards, you can now link the children to a family.

  To clarify the need for adding "Sibling" and "In Law" as relationship options, could you please share other use cases this would support?

  • Whose contact information is typically added when only the child is the patient?
  • How often do in-laws take charge of a patient's dental care or communications?
  • Are there any other relationships you would like to be added on the list?
