Improvements to treatment planning, media, appointments, etc.
Pinned1) Being able to select multiple item codes/images to delete/export.
2) Being able to click and drag to highlight multiple teeth in charting, rather than single clicking a surface of each tooth. If a patient has had full clearance and F/F dentures, it's cumbersome selecting 32 teeth to chart 'missing'. Click-and-drag highlighting to select would also be hand for images in media, and item codes in treatment planning.
3) When deleting a visit when treatment planning, automatically deleting all item codes within that visit. It's already a two-click process to delete a visit, it's unlikely that it will be clicked by accident, and voiding each code one by one is very time consuming for operations like in-chair bleaching that have upwards of 15 codes.
4) Having to select a fund every single time you want to chart or add treatment. Ideally there would be the option of removing it all together (as we're not a preferred provider clinic, we have one fee level for all patients regardless of health fund), but if not, at least only having to do it once for each patient.
5) Changing the order of treatment plans. We will often present patients with multiple plans - eg 'Comprehensive, short term, orthodontic', etc. Being able to change the order instead of having the most recent one at the top would be handy.
6) Changing the date of media once it's already been imported. There's been several times when transferring images from our old software into Core that I've imported 18 images, and forgotten to pick a date, and then had to individually delete each image, then re-upload them with the correct date. If there was a way to change the date after the image had been imported, it would save a lot of time!
7) Assigning a date to attachments would be handy, particularly for importing previous medical histories, so it's easy to determine whether or not an update is necessary.
8) Assigning a treatment visit to an appointment that's already booked. When I try to edit the appointment and select a visit from the treatment plan, it clears the selected info when I click 'assign treatments'. At the moment, I'm having to delete the appointment and create a brand new one to assign a visit.
9) In 'Sterilisations', all instruments come up under two tabs: 'package' and 'item'. It would be handy to create customisable tabs such as 'hygiene', 'endo', 'surgical', etc. so instruments can be grouped together for ease of tracking. At this stage, we're clicking through ten pages of instruments, as they only display six per page, and it can be time consuming finding the instrument you're looking for.
10) When assigning treatment to an appointment, the item codes show up in the appointment in the book, but not the teeth numbers. Is there a way to include teeth numbers? For example, a visit might have three '613' assigned, but in order to find out exactly which teeth, you need to click in to the treatment plan.
11) Scanning/taking photos directly into attachments, rather than saving it as a file and uploading it. In media, you can take a photo directly with the intra-oral camera, and in sterilisations, you can take a photo with an ipad/mobile device directly into the cycle, it would be ideal if this were an option for attachments as well, as we scan a copy of all hicaps and eftpos receipts into each patient's file. *Edit: I've just realised you can take a photo directly into attachments from an android phone, so that's helpful, but being able to scan directly from the scanner would be helpful as well.
