Attachments/Media to Email Referrals

Hi,

 

It would be great if you could attach media from your library/attachments or even from your local computer to letters. At the moment there is no way to attach xrays or other media to a letter and then email it to the patient or referral. It would work the same way as if you attached a document to an email.

  You can now create referral letter template with placeholder to embed patient photo or X-rays to you letter body.

  Currently some users are exporting the xrays, save them on google drive or one drive, create a link and then paste that in the referral. This would be a great feature as most of the referrals require xray attachment.

  We also like to use the email function when sending the referrals but have found there is no easy way to attach media such as photos or X-rays so my receptionist downloads it to her desktop and then sends the files. A bit cumbersome atm

  Hi Kenny

  Been having some issues with this. Email/pdf created and sent successfully but when I go into the saved letter in the patient's record the image is not there. Also the receiving dentists and specialists are obviously unable to extract the x-ray/photo from the pdf to save in their own system and they also have no access to the metadata to know when the image was taken. I have raised a separate feature request about the possibility of sending a link to the letter rather than email for confidentiality/security purposes so wonder whether we could also link to the designated images so they can also be downloaded securely.
