How to Integrate Tyro Health with Core Practice

Overview

Tyro Health integrates with Core Practice to provide healthcare payment and claiming solutions.

If you previously used Medipass, you may now see the Tyro Health name used instead. Tyro acquired Medipass in 2021 and subsequently incorporated its technology and capabilities into the Tyro Health Online was previously known as Medipass. 

With the integration, you can now access supported Tyro Health payment and claiming services through Core Practice.

This article explains what you need before getting started and how to install and configure Tyro Health integration in Core Practice.

Before you  begin

Before installing the integration, make sure your practice has a Tyro Health Online account and has completed the required onboarding with Tyro Health.

If you haven't set up Tyro Health Online yet, see Get started with Tyro Health Online for information about creating your account and completing the required setup.

You'll also need your Tyro Health API key when configuring the integration in Core Practice.

For instructions on generating your API key, see the Tyro Health guide on generating an API key.

Note: Some payment and claiming services may require additional onboarding or activation with Tyro Health. Make sure the services your practice intends to use are set up before using them through Core Practice.

Install the Tyro Health app

1. Click the Cog icon, then select Settings.
   
   
    
2. Under Integrations, click Core Practice Apps.
   
   
    
3. Click Open Marketplace in the top-right corner.
   
   
    
4. Find Tyro Health in the list of available list of apps, then click it.
   
   
    
5. On the Tyro Health app page, click Install Tyro Health.
   
   
    
6. You'll be redirected back to Core Practice. Click Install to continue.
   
   

Configure the Tyro Health integration

Enter the following details:

• Add-on name: Enter a name to identify the Tyro Health integration
• API key: Enter your Tyro Health API key.
• Tyro: Select Yes or No to enable or disable the Tyro option.
• Locations: Select any location you want to restrict from accessing the integration. Leave this field empty if you want the integration to be available to all locations.

Once you have entered the required details, click Save Changes.

The Tyro Health integration is now installed and configured in Core Practice.
