Overview
Use Copy Fees to import fees from an existing fee level into another fee level.
Before you begin, remember:
- The fee level you have open is where the fees will be imported.
- The Source Fee Level you select is where the fees will come from.
Important: Make sure you select the correct source schedule. Importing from an empty schedule can overwrite the fees in the fee level you currently have open.
How to import fees
1. Open the Fee Level you want to update
In Fees Management, select the fee level that should receive the imported fees.
For example, if you are importing existing BUPA fees into BUPA 2027, open BUPA 2027 first.
2. Open Copy Fees
Click More, then select Copy Fees.
3. Select the source
In the Copy Fees window:
- Under Source Fee Level, select the fee level containing the fees you want to import.
- Under Source Fee Schedule, select the appropriate schedule.
Check the From and To dates and whether the schedule is Archived, Active, or Future. For current fees, select the relevant Active schedule.
4. Check your selections
Before continuing, make sure:
- The fee level currently open is the one you want to update.
- The selected Source Fee Level contains the fees you need.
- The correct Source Fee Schedule is selected.
- The source schedule is not empty.
A simple way to remember the import direction is:
Open Fee Level ← Source Fee Level
For example:
Bupa 2027 ← Bupa
5. Import the fees
Click Copy.
Once Complete, review the fee level you have open and confirm that the expected fees have been imported.
Avoid importing from an empty schedule
Do not open a fee level containing existing fees and then select an empty fee level or schedule as the source.
For example:
BUPA ← BUPA 2027
If you click Copy, the existing fees in BUPA may be overwritten by the empty source schedule.
Remember: The fee level you have open received the fees. The source you select supplies them.
