How to setup the Lab Module

Follow the steps in setting up the Lab module.

1. Turning on the lab permissions to access the lab module
2. Setup Lab Contact
3. Setup Lab Service (Label)
4. Setup Lab Product (Item)

Turning on the lab permissions to access the lab module

Here are the steps to turn on the lab permissions to access the lab module.

1. Click the Cog icon on the upper right-hand corner and then click on Settings.
   
   
   
   
2. Under Security, click on Group.
   
   
   
   
3. Select the User Group you would like to give permission to access the lab module then click on Permissions on the left side and then scroll down and go to LAB PERMISSIONS section.
   
   
   
   
4. Finally, select which lab permission option you would like to turn on for the selected group.
   
   

Setup a Lab Contact

Here are the steps to setup a lab contact.

1. Click the Cog icon on the upper right-hand corner and then click on Contacts.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on Add Contact.
   
   
   
   
3. Fill in the contact details and make sure to choose Lab under the group section, then click on Save Changes.

Setup a Lab Service (Label)

Here are the steps to setup a lab service.

1. Click the Cog icon on the upper right-hand corner and then click on Settings.
   
   
   
   
2. Under System, click on Labels.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on Create Label.
   
   
   
   
4. Fill in the label details and make sure to choose Lab Service under the type section, then click on Save Changes.
   
   

Setup a Lab Product (Item)

Here are the steps to setup a lab product.

1. Click the Cog icon on the upper right-hand corner and then click on Items.
   
   
   
   
2. Under Catalogues, click on LAB then select a sub-category then click on the three dots and then select Create.
   
   
   
   
3. Fill in the item details and make sure to choose Lab under the type section and the right Expense Type, then click on Save Changes.
