Overview
Heidi is an integrated tool within Core Practice that can be accessed directly from a patient’s record. It appears as a widget within the system and can be used while working on patient treatments.
Before you begin
Make sure:
- Heidi Health is installed via Core Practice Marketplace
- You have an active Heidi subscription
- You allow microphone access when prompted
- You have a stable internet connection
Step 1: Install Heidi (if not yet installed)
- Click the Cog icon, then select Settings
- Under Setup, click Core Practice Apps
- Locate Heidi Health, and click Learn more
- If not visible, click Open Marketplace
- If not visible, click Open Marketplace
If accessing Heidi through the Marketplace, the page should appear like this
- Click Install, and proceed with installation
Step 2: Open a patient record
- Go to the Patient tab and click Advance Search
- In the search window that appears, enter the patient’s first and last name, then click Search
- Select the patient from the results to open their record
Step 3: Access Heidi
- On the patient’s profile, click the Treatments tab
- On the right-hand side, locate the option to activate Heidi
- Click Activate Heidi
- Click Open Heidi
Once opened, the Heidi widget will appear in the lower right corner of the screen.

Once Heidi is open, you will need to log in and start using it.
