Overview
After opening Heidi within Core Practice, you will need to log in to your Heidi account and use the widget to support your clinical workflow.
Before you begin
Make sure:
- Heidi has already been installed and opened from a patient record
- You have an active Heidi account

Step 1: Log in to Heidi
- Open Hedi from the Treatments tab within a patient record
- Click Activate Heidi, then select Open Heidi
- The Heidi widget will appear on the lower right side of the screen
- In the Heidi widget, click Continue in a new window to log in
- In the new window, click Sign in
- Enter your Heidi account credentials
- Follow any on-screen prompts to complete login
If you see an “Upgrade to Practice” message
If a window appears prompting you to “Upgrade to Practice”:
- Close the tab where the message appears
- Return to Core Practice in your browser
- Refresh the page
- Click Activate Heidi, then Open Heidi again
The widget will reappear in the lower-right corner, and you should now be logged in.
Step 2: Use Heidi
- Interact with Heidi directly from the widget
- Follow the on-screen prompts within the widget
- Use Heidi during consultations as needed
Note: Functionality may vary depending on your Heidi setup and usage.
Important notes
- Heidi must be activated and opened each time you log in to Core Practice
- Once activated, it remains available across patient profiles until you log out
- Heidi runs inside a widget and does not automatically save outside of it.
