Overview
The Sterilisations area enables users at your practice to document and track device sterilisations in your Core Practice environment to help ensure compliance with infection control standards. This article describes how to document patient sterilisation tracking manually. When needed, you can access that tracking information any time in the future in one centralized location in Core Practice.
Manual Patient Sterilisation Tracking Steps
- Click on Patient and select Advanced Search to retrieve the desired patient.
- In the patient’s screen, click on Treatment to open the Treatments history area.
- In the Treatments area click on the (a) gear button and select (b) Sterilisation tracking to open the Sterilisation Tracking window.
- In the Sterilisation Tracking window, click on (a) Add New Note and enter a sterilisation note if needed and then click on (b) Add sterilisation tracking + sign to open the New Sterilisation Tracking window.
- Complete fields as indicated below.
a) Barcode or (b) Cycle No: At least one field must be completed.
b) Steriliser: Select your location's Steriliser.
c) Operator: Select user documenting current tracking.
d) Cycle date: Select sterilisation date.
e) Expiry date: Select expiration date.
f) Note: Enter text note if needed.
After successfully adding tracking information, a window similar to the below will display.
6. Click Close to return to the Treatments area.
