Overview
You may sometimes experience an issue if the HICAPS Connect program is running, but the service is not. This program is important because it makes the connection between your terminal and your computer. Here's how to start the program.
Please Note: Before you start the HICAPS Connect , make sure that it isn't already running. Go to the system tray and find the HICAPS Connect icon, as below.
If you have been unsuccessful in connecting to the terminal, the icon will most likely be red (or it may not be there at all).
If the icon is there, right-click it and click Exit.
Steps
- Click on Start once you've made sure that the program isn't running.
- Go to All Programs (or All Apps) and find the "HICAPSConnect" folder (as below).
- Click on HICAPS Connect Client in that folder. In a moment, you should see a pop up notifying you that it has found a terminal.
The program should now be running. Restart the Core Practice Bridge to make sure the connection has been made with Core Practice. If this fails, restarting your computer may help. If you continue to experience issues, submit a support request.
